Our Story

A true story — not a campaign.

How a moment in an ICU, a self-taught father, and a modern professional’s quiet conviction became Tathastu.

There is a moment that quietly rearranges the way you see everything. For our family, it came inside the four walls of a hospital ICU.

My elder mother — Ma was admitted after an accident; a tree had fallen on her. For fifteen long days, the ICU became our second home. Somewhere in those days, a thought took root in me that I have not been able to shake since.

It wasn’t only about her — it was about everyone in that ward. I watched how little we truly know about our own bodies, how quickly we panic, how a small ache sends us to a search bar at midnight, and how readily we reach for antibiotics without asking what they do to the body underneath.
We swallow allopathic medicine without a second question about its side effects — but the moment someone offers an Ayurvedic remedy, we ask, “Are you sure it has no side effects?” How can something drawn from nature, made for a body that is itself made by nature, harm the very body it came from?
That question became the seed of Tathastu.

A wisdom that was always close to home

Not medicine. A lifestyle.

This story didn’t begin in a laboratory—it began at home.

My father, now fifty-five, grew up without the comfort and guidance of parents. He learned to trust the one thing that never left his side: nature. Though trained as an engineer, he spent years studying herbs, creating remedies, and caring for our family with quiet dedication.

We experienced the power of Ayurveda not through books, but through everyday life. Those experiences became the inspiration behind Tathastu—a journey rooted in care, trust, and the healing wisdom of nature.

This version keeps the emotional impact while sounding more refined, compassionate, and professional for visitors.

This is the heart of everything we make: Ayurveda is not a medicine — it is a lifestyle. You shouldn’t wait to fall ill to turn to nature. And you do not have to look a certain way to live this. You can be entirely modern — and still choose the old way. This is not nostalgia. It is a conscious, contemporary choice.

A word about who is telling you this

By profession, I am an Advocate. My world is built on facts, evidence, and reason. Yet when it comes to the well-being of my family, I find myself returning to the wisdom that has been trusted in our home for generations.

I grew up watching Ayurveda not as a trend or an alternative, but as a natural part of everyday life. Its principles shaped how we cared for ourselves, supported one another, and found balance through life’s challenges.

“Tathastu” means so be it — a blessing, the granting of a wish. Our wish is simple: that you and the people you love get to live well, naturally, and on your own terms.

About the Author

The woman who still chooses Ayurveda

Advocate · Storyteller

By profession, I am an Advocate who spends her days among files, courtrooms and hard evidence. I am as modern as they come. And yet, when it comes to my body and the people I love, I return to what my family has always trusted.

I am not the maker of these formulations; that is my family’s work, and our firm stands in my mother’s name. I am simply the storyteller — because this is a true story, not a campaign.

The engineer who never stopped searching.

Self-taught · Engineer · The hands behind the formula

Long before Tathastu became a brand, it was a personal journey.

After losing his parents at a young age, he learned to rely on the one thing that never failed him: nature. An engineer by profession and a lifelong learner by nature, he spent years studying herbs, exploring traditional wisdom, and refining formulations with patience and care.

What began as a personal pursuit of wellness gradually became the foundation of Tathastu.

Not just products. A lifetime of learning, crafted into wellness.

Who it's really for

You don't have time to grind fifteen herbs for your parents. So we did it for you.

The people who need this most rarely buy it for themselves — our parents and grandparents, who won’t spend on their own comfort. That is where you come in: the son, the daughter, the grandchild, often watching from another city or country. Tathastu is the something you’ve been wishing you could do.

Where it comes from

India was always the home of these remedies

Every household once held its own quiet pharmacy of roots, seeds and oils. We’re simply bringing that inheritance back — grown and made in India.
